How do physical outdoor activities support my child's growth?
Physical outdoor activities—like climbing, digging, and balancing—provide essential challenges that actively build your child's strength, coordination, and body awareness. Regular outdoor play also helps combat childhood obesity and provides vital Vitamin D for immune health and bone strength. Beyond physical fitness, navigating natural obstacles encourages safe risk-taking and problem-solving, which naturally cultivates your child's mental resilience.
Importantly, prioritizing the outdoors naturally reduces screen time, giving children a much-needed break from digital devices. This time away from fast-paced screens grounds them in the real world, allowing them to deeply connect with the slower rhythms and subtle cycles of nature
How do you ensure hygiene and cleanliness in school?
We maintain excellent standards of cleanliness. Toys, classrooms, and common areas are cleaned and sanitised daily after school, and we fog the entire school every week.
What does the outdoor learning environment look like?
Our learning environment is an urban forest oasis that is always alive, meaning no two days are exactly the same. Children have regular access to these natural spaces, enjoying 1.5 hours of outdoor play to engage in hands-on, place-based, and play-based learning. We also go on bi-weekly outdoor excursions to a nearby forest site to help children build familiarity and recognise the subtle changes in nature.
How does the environment support safe risk-taking?
We view the opportunity to experience and manage risk as an essential part of learning and healthy growth. Our daily outdoor discovery encourages hands-on exploration with soil, water, and natural textures, which naturally sparks curiosity, sensory growth, and safe risk-taking.
